Intuitive eating

Intuitive eating is a recent term. It is often described as a revolutionary approach to food that opposes the predominant culture of dieting. In short, it is based on monitoring the body's signals that tell us what and how much to eat, instead of adhering to plans and measurements. ⁣

We know that, as a society, we have largely drifted astray when we give a special name to what is natural and call it revolutionary. It tells us that we have moved so far away from ourselves, so much that we have allowed ourselves to be guided by trends that are constantly changing, that we have forgotten what has always been in us, and now we call it - revolutionary.

On the bright side, we are beginning to realize that something in the way things have been functioning so far is not sustainable and that it is necessary to return it to the source. It is good to see that we are moving towards ending the objectification of the body, restoring the body's right to have a say by respecting its signals of hunger, satiety, the need for movement and treating the body with respect and gratitude that it deserves.
